Pinter Sketches was Theatre Louisiane's third show, and was a collection of four comic sketches by contemporary British playwright Harold Pinter: "That's Your Trouble," "Interview," "That's All," and "Applicant." This late-night offering was dubbed "Insomniac Theatre" by New Orleans CitySearch.

These four simplistic snippets of life were interspersed with six of Pinter's poems, and featured resident artists Skye Jordan and Sara Schaefer, and Blake Buchert. The preshow and curtain call music was an assortment of the energized and intense sounds of Peter Gabriel.

The project was directed by resident artist Amy Woodruff, and was performed October 17-19 and 24-26, 2000, at midnight at Mystic Cafe, 3244 Magazine Street. Tickets were $6.00 general admission, and the purpose of this show was to workshop new material and raise much-needed funds. Pinter Sketches was made possible in part by Mystic Cafe, Juan's Flying Burrito, and Mystic Blue Signs. Pinter Sketches was produced in special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

The Mystic Performance Series supplemented Theatre Louisiane's mainstage projects with a series of experimental offerings that were very simplistic and basic in nature, and allowed the ensemble to workshop performance material and raise funds, both of which helped to strengthen the company.
